Scrap Rats is a book about the dangers of space, the horrific nature of alien entities, the bond between crews and, of course, death. Lots and lots of character deaths. You play a band of squishy meat bags whose only goal is to make money. To do this, you will go to far away planets, space stations, shipwrecks, and everything in between in search of the most holy of rewards: scrap.
